Skippy! and Sweetie

Here's a painting I did for some very dear friends. My old riding buddy's mom asked for a painting of their horses for her husband for his birthday. They share the tack room with me and have been friends of mine for a very long time. I'm kind of embarrassed that I haven't done a painting of these two sooner. Skippy! is the chestnut on the left, and Sweetie is his mama on the right.

My Little Phantom

Today, I shaved a lightning bolt into my horse's butt. 

Don't worry, he was not harmed in the process and after I was done, he recieved a large bucket of carrots/apples/peppermints :)
